our story

Grace Church Hackney was started in 2004, by a team led by Andrew Jones, as a new church within the Church of England.

We met for 10 years in Shoreditch Church and then moved to St Anne’s Church Hoxton.

In 2016 another new church was started from Grace Church, St Barnabas Dalston, which contiinues to meet today.

Andrew Jones became parish priest of St Anne’s Hoxton in 2024 so we are currently two churches sharing one vicar and one building. Our hope is to become one church with two services where the history, traditions and values of both churches continue to flourish.
